Prolastil E-50™, one of the most important anti-aging skin care discovery ever, is based on decades of genetic research. Eventually drawing on the amazing findings of the Human Genome Project* and culminating in a Department of Defense project to improve battlefield wound healing.

Dr. Ensley's revolutionary work began in plant genetics where he created a unique solution for removing toxic waste from the environment – safely and economically with specially engineered crops. He then focused on the development of nutraceutical and therapeutic supplements, also derived from plants. Finally, turning his genetics expertise to the biology of human skin, he identified key proteins responsible for healthy skin structure. Chief among these proteins is elastin, an elastic-like substance that allows the skin to stretch and regain its original shape. New Science in Skin Care Available to Consumers

The products, marketed under the name , Prolastil E-50 work by increasing the amount of elastin in the skin. The main cause of both wrinkles and facial sagging is the gradual loss of elastin in aged or photo-damaged skin. Elastin loss was previously thought to be irreversible. It has been shown by scientists at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia to enter into the outer skin layers and then become crosslinked with collagen and other proteins to expand the extra cellular matrix.
